Platform Insight: From Oct – Nov, there was a spike in searches & listings under Travel & travel-related categories on Carousell which signaled a strong user interest group planning their trips for Dec & CNY Holidays. (User segment for Active Travelers)

Behavior Insight: Historically, Travel has always been in the list of the top 5 resolutions for every New Year (engagement campaign)

Execution:

1 – AirAsia partnered with Carousell for the Wanderlust Campaign, where every user who shopped on Travel got a Carousell exclusive promo code discount to book flights. (Results: 100+ redemptions in first 18 hours!)

2 – AirAsia also advertised on Carousell to target users interested in Travel (category) to lock in flight bookings for CNY.
